FIBERFLON manufactures a wide range of PTFE coated fiberglass and PTFE Film Pressure-Sensitive Tapes that are used in many different industries such as flexible packaging, plastics, electronics, wind energy, and composite molding. These tapes are engineered in a variety of different coating formulas to meet the specific demands of various applications. Our PTFE tape series provides high temperature resistance, dimensional stability, tensile strength, and resistance to chemicals and abrasion. FIBERFLON PTFE tapes are available with high temperature silicone or acrylic adhesive backing.
Which adhesive system would be the best for you?
PREMIUM Series PTFE (or PSA) tapes are ideal for the most demanding non-stick applications. These tapes have the highest PTFE-to-substrate ratio in their series.
STANDARD Series PTFE (or PSA) tapes are widely preferred for most adhesive applications. These tapes have a very smooth surface and provide outstanding non-stick properties. These tapes have optimal PTFE-to-substrate ratios.
INDUSTRIAL Series PTFE (or PSA) tapes are preferred in applications where low-cost is chosen above maximum performance due to less resilient working environment. These tapes have the most economical and sufficient PTFE-to-substrate ratio in their series.
FIBERFLON offers a variety of self-wound tapes that are used in the packaging industry as a release surface on heat sealers, blister formation, and form-fill-seal equipment. These tapes offer an easy release surface which makes them ideal for use in packaging, vacuum sealers, heat-sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment as well as the lining of guide rails, chutes, and slides. The outstanding release surface of these tapes makes them a preferred material in the composite industry.
FIBERFLON ANTI-STATIC SERIES are formulated specifically to eliminate static build-up on the surface during any application. These tapes are coated with different PTFE contents to meet the specific performance requirements of different industries.
METAL DETECTABLE PTFE / GLASS TAPES FEATURE PTFE glass backing with aluminum foil with pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. These tapes are recommended for heat sealing covers.
In the food industry they are especially useful to identify worn tape by metal detector before delivery to the end user.
R-62 AD tape is an adhesive tape with an orange-colored PTFE film base. These tapes offer excellent resistance to high heat and chemicals while featuring electrical properties. These properties make these tapes highly suitable for demanding applications such as roll wrapping or endless belts of Polyethylene laminators, insulation of coils, and many more.
G50 AD is an electrical insulating tape with a PTFE film base. These tapes have excellent electrical characteristics, low coefficient of friction, and heat and chemical resistance. G50 AD tapes are preferred for heat-sealing, heat-resistant masking, and electrical insulation.
PTFE SKIVED TAPES are pure PTFE skived films with silicone adhesive backing. What makes these tapes unique is their high elongation and conformability. These tapes also offer superior non-stick properties and low friction. These properties allow these tapes to be the prime choice for mechanical applications from lining guide rails to wrapping wire harnesses and masking applications. These tapes are manufactured in various thicknesses.
FIBERFLON FIBERGLASS CLOTH TAPES are high tensile fiberglass cloth with silicone adhesive backing. The glass cloth is flame retardant and resistant to abrasion. These properties make these tapes ideal for use in masking tape for thermal spray applications for transformers and motors, protective wrapping for wire and cables.
FIBERFLON supplies a variety of customized heat seal and zone tapes made to meet the specification needs designed exclusively for the packaging industry. The unique design of these tapes allows the absence of the adhesive in the center zone which helps enhance the heat transfer through the tape.
HEAT SEALER TAPES are used to cover the heat sealers precisely, allowing for the seal wire beneath it to move freely and thereby complete its task. There is a center strip on the tape roll of the PTFE fabric and then either side has sticking side strips of masking tape or glass liner tape. The center PTFE coated glass fabric width is cut to client specifications and the self-adhesive strips are available in other measurements as well.
ZONE TAPES When the heat sealer tape is not a workable option, clients typically request Zone Tapes. The glass fabric is secured to the heat sealer by two adhesive strips on each side of the PTFE glass fabric underside. Zone Tapes are available in any desired specifications based on the dimensions required.
